Angry Nerds adopted an Agile development approach, working closely with the client, to determine the key requirements for the initial MVP.


Approach

The solution was developed using React/TypeScript (Electron),  .NET, a relational database on the Microsoft SQL Server and infrastructure provided by Azure (web application server, database server). The API is distinguished by the fact it must be HIPAA Compliant as well as meet other specific requirements – mostly concerning backups and general security and the protection of physical data carriers.


Solution

Automation of repetitive actions is the main functionality of the application. We developed a library which controls the browser, executes given actions and collects information from the websites. The application can be run on multiple platforms thanks to the Electron framework.  On average we are generating approximately 2.5 million requests every week to manage the authorizations process across major insurance providers in the US.


Outcome

After many demonstrations of the MVP by the client there’s an overwhelming interest in the product. Users have found the user interface easy to use and impressed with how seamless the installation is. Overall, the MVP has allowed the client to continue meaningful conversations with their customers and develop the product further.


Impact

Within a very short period of time (3 months) the client was able to sign up in excess of 25 new providers to their platform based purely on the value associated with the MVP.
